In honour of Bruce's fight
Story
Hi everyone.
I'm raising funds for Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA), in memory of my darling husband, Bruce Egerdie, who for the last four years fought this insidious disease.
MIA is a non-profit organisation reliant upon community funding and support. They are dedicated to preventing and curing melanoma in the hope that they can lessen the impact of this disease through innovative research, treatment and education programs.
During Bruce's battle, he willingly participated in clinical trials in an attempt to find a cure under the care of Associate Professor Matteo Carlino and his team. He also underwent numerous major surgical procedures with Dr Julie Howle, Surgical Oncologist. On behalf of Bruce and myself, we cannot begin to thank them enough.
Devastatingly, melanoma won in the end, as it has done before far too many times.
Not only did this disease take my husband at 54 years of age, it also took my father, John Corbett, on 23 January 2000, at 56 years of age.
Please help me in raising funds for a cause that's very close to mine and my family's heart, by making a donation, big or small, to this page.
Your support is very much appreciated,
Thank you,
Kathy.
